Spire Activity Tracker for Stress Management

I’ve been incorporating the Spire as a tool to manage stress. As an added benefit, it also acts as a fitness tracker monitoring your steps and calories. I’ve been using it for a little bit over a month. No tracker will ever do the work FOR you, let’s be completely honest. You have to want to change yourself. This is the best tool for monitoring the times you are stressed, tense etc. and than acting upon that to make changes. Here’s the rundown of why I wear it daily:

{:::} Video here: http://youtu.be/kb9ZbUUJySs

{:::} IOS APP here: https://spire.io/app

{:::} Real-time notifications that alert you while you’re stressed::: re-focus your breathing, center yourself and you will start to practice HOW to handle a tense situation vs. rolling into a full-blown panic attack

{:::} Smooth stone device comfortably clips onto your clothing and don’t fret if you throw it into the washing machine once by mistake (oops!) it will still be alive…

{:::} Guided audio meditation clips (my personal favorite) this is so relaxing during the onset of panic or when unwinding before heading to sleep. The voiceover is calming and helps me to “reset”

{:::} Advanced algorithms, they did some HEAVY research to make sure the breathing patterns and respiration correlate to your emotional state

There’s no other devices that track your emotional state AND your fitness. This is the first tracker I’ve had that’s not a bracelet and I’m absolutelt loving that. I hated wearing the bracelet trackers daily, this is discreet.

 State of mind affects how you breathe, but how you breathe can also *change* your state of mind. Studies have shown that slow, consistent breathing can lower blood pressure, reduce stress and increase the flow of endorphins in the blood stream. Consistently using Spire can help you to track your negative habits and improve them. I’m a total dork when it comes to analytics, but it’s true if you do not analyze data you will also never grow or improve.
